All of our CrossFit classes are universally scaleable, meaning that age and fitness level aren't an issue here. No matter what is involved, the classes can be modified to suit your needs.


Our Skipton gym has a real community feel to it. This means that you'll not only have a great workout, you'll have fun doing it and make friends along the way.


We don't believe in lengthy gym contracts. We believe that your satisfaction with the service we provide should be enough to keep you committed.


We're lucky to boast one of the UKs largest training spaces for a CrossFit Box. We can comfortably cater for lots of people, but will cap our memberships to make sure you can access the classes and times you want.


CrossFit Skipton is Embsay’s strength and fitness gym that has helped 100’s reach their fitness goals through constantly varied, functional movements executed at a high intensity. Located in Embsay, Skipton, we are lucky to boast one of the largest CrossFit gym spaces in the UK and are proud to have an incredible member team behind us.

Our Skipton Gym was started by Owner and Head Coach Chris Cummins with the philosophy that community is key which is where CrossFit Skipton makes sure to be accessible to all, no matter your age, experience or fitness level.



CrossFit is a strength and conditioning system built on constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity. The aim of CrossFit is to increase competence in each of the 10 components of fitness, these are:

Our Classes

At CrossFit Skipton we offer a range of classes to suit all ages, abilities and experiences.

CrossFit – Our main and most popular class is our CrossFit class, following a program that changes every day, that is the same for everyone. The CrossFit class focuses on strength and conditioning and can include a wide range of movements and exercises to help you become fitter!

If you’re new to CrossFit Skipton you will need to complete our Fundamentals Course ( 2 sessions of 45 mins each) that runs through all the movements you need to know and introduces you to CrossFit.

SWEAT – One of our newer classes, SWEAT is a shorter, HIIT class with less technical movements than a CrossFit class. SWEAT is perfect for those who want to get fit but without some of the heavier or difficult movements. Check out our SWEAT Class Page here.

Indoor Cycling – Based in our studio and run by the amazing Ashley Marley, our indoor cycling classes combines cardio and endurance in a 45-minute calorie crunching session!

Our Memberships

Thinking of joining CrossFit Skipton? We offer a range of one-off, monthly or annual memberships to suit all.

We don’t believe in lengthy gym contracts that lock you in to memberships or busy gyms where you can’t access the equipment, the coach or the classes.

To sign up to our CrossFit memberships, new members will need to complete a Fundamentals Course. If you sign up for a membership after the Fundamentals, the £30 cost will be deducted from your first month!

We believe our gym membership options cater for everyone, with no pressure to commit straight after your Fundamentals.

All of our coaches are at least CrossFit Level 1 trained and have tonnes of experience helping people achieve their fitness goals.
