Diverse HIIT Programming

Our programming means that not only can all abilities do the workout but you can have fun doing it!

An example of a SWEAT HIIT Class workout is:

Every Minute On The Minute for 35 Minutes
1st Minute) 15/12 Calories on a Rowing Machine
2nd Minute) 60 Double Unders Skips or Single Skips
3rd Minute) 15 Kettlebell Goblet Squats (22.5/15)
4th Minute) 15/12 Calories on the Rowing Machine
5th Minute) 12 Ab-Mat Sit-Ups
6th Minute) Max Dumbell Front Rack Lunge (22.5/15)
7th Minute) Rest

As with every class at CrossFit Skipton our coaches take time to ensure everyone is warmed up and ready for the movements, as well as explaining each exercise and making sure everyone has the right weights and scaling options for the HIIT Class.

What are the HIIT Class Movements?

In our SWEAT HIIT Classes you can expect to see some simple but effective movements compared to our more complex CrossFit classes in the gym.

Movements include:
- Rowing Machines
- Push Ups
- Dumbell Snatches
- Ab Mat Sit Ups
- Dumbell Goblet Squats
- Wall Balls
- Push Press
- Lunges
- Burpees
- And many more!

The main difference between our HIIT classes and our CrossFit classes is the complexity of the movements. Our SWEAT HIIT Classes are built to give great results with simpler movements: fitness made easy!

What are the benefits of HIIT Classes?

High Intesity Interval Training (HIIT) is a type of class that involves exercising in short, fast bursts of movements with periods of lower intesity or rest that increases and decreases the heart rate quickly.

As a result of this rapid increase and decrease of your heart rate, your body will become better at moving blood around your body, improving the ability to provide Oxygen to your muscles, improving your heart health and helping you become fitter in the process.

Not only that, but HIIT has been shown to help burn more calories than slower, traditional "cardio" too. HIIT classes are a great way to kick start your fitness goals whatever that may be.

Many studies have shown that HIIT is a great way to get fantastic health and fitness results fast! There are plenty of HIIT workouts in our regular CrossFit classes but our SWEAT HIIT classes include simpler movements and without a strength or gymnastics element.
